Let's Be Adventurers

This week is Easter break!

Yesterday, I meet Kate and Mackenzie in Stockholm thinking we were going to the library; it is supposed to be really cool building. However, Mackenzie thought we should be adventurers and find the ghost subway station. In the 1970's, the construction of a subway station on the blue line in Stockholm was started but the station was left unfinished. It is said to be haunted by the Silverpilen ghost train...scary!

Before we began our adventure, we stopped so Mackenzie could grab some food and so Kate and I could steal his fries.

The ghost station is between the stops of Hallonbergen and Kista on the blue line. Honestly, despite this abandoned building the blue line is creepy enough by itself; it is very far underground.

Mackenzie had to pull out GoogleMaps a lot.

There were plans to develop the area around the ghost station as a suburb however the plans were discarded.  Now it is a nature resort.

There was a fence so we couldn't actually go into the station :(

However, two workers had a key and could go in which made us extremely jealous.

The weather was so nice out, we sat in the sun for a long time watching the trains pass by.

Mackenzie believes that the government of Sweden is hiding a massive object behind these doors because they know something the rest of the world doesn't...

We took the long way home and find some graffiti that we had to snap a few photos in front of.

Leaving our mark.

Maybe we spent too much time wandering around in the woods because the storm clouds chased us back to the city.

"Am I hipster yet?"

During our little adventure my water bottle spilled in my purse which became soaked. Don't worry, nothing got ruined. I was just annoyed.

Mackenzie left us to head to London with his host family so Kate and I went to grab a snack because if you can't go to London than a snack is the next best thing.

Hamish called us saying he was in the city with two other Newbies visiting Stockholm so we meet up with them under the cherry blossoms.

Hamish came over for dinner and to watch a movie. Oh Kate was supposed to join us but Kate being Kate took a "quick" nap and woke up at three in the morning!
