Ice-Skating

Today, my class and I went ice-skating during gym! I have not gone ice-skating in years. I was the worst to say the least. Luckily, everyone had to wear helmets or I would not be able to write this post.

Sam's 18th Birthday

Sam's birthday was Thursday, November 14. We had tacos at her house! She is living with a family that has a daughter on exchange in Charleston, SC! I arrived early so I could decorate and talk to her host mom about my favorite state! :)

Twizzlers and Chokladboll

Saturday night, Kelly, Linda, Sandra and I made chokladboll, ate Twizzlers, and watched a movie. The girls had never tried Twizzlers before or what I like to call them...the real licorice.
I HATE DJUNGELVRÅL! (even if I sent it to my sister, Allison, and told her it was my favorite)

Kelly drinking out of a Twizzler. She was so amazed.

The Skogsmo's

This week Gayatri and I are staying with the Skogsmo's. On Saturday, we went for a hike in the forest and grilled hotdogs for lunch!

Hey, Macklemore! Can we go thrift shopping?

What, what, what, what....

If you don't understand this reference ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK8mJJJvaes

On Friday, I attended my Rotary meeting and spoke about the district conference. I love my Rotary club because they are all interested in my exchange and ask so many questions. They are truly the best club in Sweden :)

My rotary counselor, Michael Knight, won the raffle!

After the meeting, I ran home, packed an over night bag, grabbed some popcorn balls and headed to Brooke's house where we made pizza! When I say made pizza, I mean we made the dough and sauce from scratch. I showed off my pizza making skills ;)

Tour Guides

Being in Stockholm for more than two months gives Sam and I the title of tour guides. We love hosting fellow exchange students and showing them around our city! :)

Sabrina is from Chicago and lives in Malmberget which is waaaaay north. She is going to freeze to death this winter but that is fine because it means one less Blackhawks fan. Beth is from Placerville, California and lives in Uppsala; she stayed with me for one night before heading over to Sam's house with Sabrina. (I didn't smell...I left for Sara's)

Beth and I made American pancakes for everyone before we went into the city :)

Beth showing off her Hina!

Everyone is super excited for some American food!

Gayatri received a package from India.
Ya'll need to step your game up ;)

 Jag älskar Stockholm <3

Sabrina I bought some touristy t-shirts ;)

After we wandered around Stockholm doing all the touristy things, we met up with some other exchange students for dinner. I love meeting new exchange students because we all understand each other even if we have nothing else in common. Look at Sam and I. I mean we are COMPLETE opposites but we can talk for hours and hours about anything and everything. Exchange students have a special bond that we share with no one else <3
